Sengelmann Hall to Re-Open in Schulenburg

Dana Roy Harper, a Houston artist, will re-open Sengelmann Hall in Shulenburg, TX this weekend. Sengelmann Hall first opened in 1894 and closed in the 1940s. Dana has brought this historic and architectural gem to its previous glory and will inaugurate the venue with performances throughout the weekend including a free concert on Thursday featuring Earl Poole Ball.

The Chronicle has a great story featuring interviews with locals who remember days before TV and the Internet when Saturday night was a town production at the Hall. Check out some great historic photos, places to stay and upcoming bands on their site, SengelmannHall.com.
